Abbeyfield Cymru

Abbeyfield Cymru - Provision, with the aid of volunteers, of very sheltered housing for older people.

Age Cymru is the new force combining Age Concern Cymru and Help the Aged in Wales. We are dedicated to improving the lives of all older people. We work in partnership with local Age Concerns.

Alzheimers Society Wales Alzheimer's Society Wales - A care and research charity for people with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias, their families and carers.
Arthritis Care

Arthritis Care Wales - Offers a wide range of services aimed at providing support and information to everyone with arthritis.

Care and Repair Cymru - A network of agencies which work to help older and disabled owner-occupiers to remain in their own homes, in their own communities, living as independently as possible, through providing information about choices that can improve safety, security, comfort, and conveneince.

Carers Wales

Carers Wales - Enables access to all areas for carers through campaigns, information and advice and a supporting network of branches and groups.

Community Service VolunteersCommunity Service Volunteers

Community Service Volunteers - (The Retired and Senior Volunteer Programme). Aims to reduce the exclusion of older people by introducing them to volunteering in the belief that everyone has something to offer.

Contact The Elderly

Contact the Elderly - Aims to relieve the loneliness and isolation of frail elderly people living alone with limited support from family, friends and statutory services, and to bring companionship to their lives.

Crossroads Care Wales - Promotes, offers and delivers high quality services for carers and people with care needs.

Cruse Cymru

Cruse Cymru - Provides counselling, information and social support to anyone who has been bereaved by death. Also offers training support, information and publications to those working to care for bereaved people.

Independent Age

Independent Age - Helps to protect the independence of isolated older people on low incomes by providing practical, financial and emotional support.

Disability Wales - The national association of disabled people's organisations striving to achieve the rights, equality and independence of disabled people in Wales.

NIACE Cymru

NIACE Dysgu Cymru (National Institute of Adult Continuing Education) - Advocates on behalf of adult leaners and providers, with a particlar focus on those who are least skilled and most disadvantaged.

 

Prime Cymru -  A member of HRH The Prince of Wales’ group of charities.  PRIME Cymru provides support and advice throughout every county in Wales to economically inactive people over 50 helping them to return to economic activity through self-employment, employment, training and volunteering as a stepping stone to more formal economic activity. 

RNIB Cymru (Royal National Institute of Blind People) - Working for the social inclusion of visually impared people by campaigning and delivery of related services.

Stroke Association

Stroke Association - Provision of support to people who have had strokes, their families and their carers.

Deafblind Cymru

Deafblind Cymru - For deafblind people and those who support them.

Third Age Trust - The national representative body for the Universities of Third Age (U3As) in the UK.  U3As are self-help, self-managed lifelong learning co-operatives for older people.

WRVS

WRVS - wants a world where every older person has the opportunity and choice to get more out of live.  We will enable older people to get more out of life by delivering practical support through the power of volunteering.
